Uche Ignites Dominant Palace Triumph at Shelbourne.
Despite embarking on their maiden European adventure, Crystal Palace are adapting very quickly. Without key figures like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles departed Dublin with a comfortable win that all but guarantees them a spot in the Conference League playoffs.
A further victory in their upcoming fixture against Finnish KuPS ought to be enough to secure direct entry to the last 16, especially after a prior stumble against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Grasp the Moment
This match provided a platform for several Palace's lesser-used talent to impress. Christantus Uche, in only his second beginning since joining on loan from Getafe, opened the scoring with a well-taken finish. Forward Eddie Nketiah contributed a another, scoring for the second consecutive match.

The match was as good as over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino weaved past some comically weak challenges before coolly slotting a shot past goalkeeper Wessel Speel to extend the lead to 3-0.
After the break, manager Oliver Glasner took the chance to rest key individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse came close to scoring with his first touch, only to see his effort blocked.
The youngster was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one shot strike off each posts before being gathered on the line. Uche also missed a glaring chance, showing there is still scope for improvement in his game.
The only worry for Palace was a second-half knock to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This allowed 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, rounding off an otherwise perfect evening for the traveling side.
